Apple vs. Best Buy (ancora): iPad 2 solo con Best Buy Protection Plan

Non sono rapporti felici quelli che corrono tra Apple e la catena Best Buy, quelli che corrono negli ultimi giorni; dopo aver scelto di pubblicizzare Asus Eee Pad Transformer a scapito di iPad 2 attraverso una campagna mediatica scelta di propria iniziativa, ecco nuove curiosità.

L’esperienza è accaduta a un giovane che ha scritto:

I was at Best But yesterday while my girlfriend was buying a new pc and asked if they had any iPad 2 in stock and I was told no. As I strolled around I looked up and noticed at least 40?In an overhead lock up area so I inquired about them. I was told by an associate that they were all sold. Two minutes later a manager walks over and says the only way I could have one is if I puchased a 109 dollar Best Buy protection plan.
I said that doesn’t seem right. He then told to try and find one somewhere else they can do what they want.

In pratica l’utente si è trovato a dover acquistare iPad 2 esclusivamente comprensivo del contratto Best Buy Protection con una spesa ulteriore di 109 dollari. Ovviamente questa politica è stata disapprovata dal manager dello Store, che sarebbe all’oscuro dell’iniziativa presa dal dipendente.

Se quest’atteggiamento dei dipendenti della catena Best Buy dovesse rivelasi diffuso, ci sarebbero tutti gli estremi per procedere legalmente; ci auguriamo che sia stato solo un malinteso e che Apple possa dare una strigliata retorica ai manager degli Stores.
